Dr. Zoeann is Assistant Professor in the Counseling Psychology PhD program at Howard University. As a graduate of the program, Dr. Zoeann is deeply committed to training and developing future Psychologists of Color. Dr. Zoeann is deeply passionate about the lived experienced of Black women including the impact of group-based stressors (e.g. colorism, racism, sexism), disparities (e.g. obesity, maternal health outcomes) as well as the unique strengths and resiliency factors. Dr. Zoeann is committed to addressing these issues by way of accessibility to therapy, specifically through the creation of her private practice focused on women of color as well as through her research initiatives. Her current research agenda includes Black maternal health and high functioning anxiety and depression among Black women.
