About Me
Growing up in South Florida to parents of Jamaican immigrants with strong values around women's rights, Dr. Zoeann was always passionate about women's issues and issues impacting communities of color. While completing her doctoral training Howard University Dr. Zoeann focused on colorism and the impact of this and other group based stressors on the lived experiences of Black women. As a faculty member, she continues to direct her research on the experiences of Black women, focusing current attention on the Black maternal health crisis, stressors impacting Black women's mental health, and high functioning anxiety and depression in the Black community.

As a Psychologist, Dr. Zoeann is committed to helping her client's find their own voice and identifying the experiences, relationships, and stressors that have informed the person they are. Assisting them in deciding what they want to do with that insight in order to live a more fulfilled and congruent life.
